Terms & Conditions

ChrisDavisProud.com

Please read this page before registering for a workshop, booking a call, or joining the retreat waitlist. Using this site or any of these offerings means you agree to the terms below.

1. Who I Am, What This Covers

These terms apply to ChrisDavisProud.com and everything offered through it — workshops like Taking Up Space, 1:1 Mentoring and Collaboration Calls, the Femistery retreat waitlist, the newsletter, and any content, worksheets, or materials I share as part of that work. By registering, booking, or signing up for anything on this site, you’re agreeing to these terms.

2. Not Therapy, Medical Care, or Professional Advice

I am a memoirist, mentor, and speaker. I am not a licensed therapist, counselor, physician, attorney, or financial advisor. Nothing I offer — in workshops, on calls, at the retreat, or anywhere on this site — is a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or financial care.

If you’re in crisis or need professional support, please reach out to a licensed provider. Anything shared in a workshop, on a call, or at the retreat is offered as mentorship and lived experience, not clinical guidance, and should be weighed alongside your own judgment and, where appropriate, the advice of a qualified professional.

3. Workshops (including Taking Up Space)

Registration

Registering for a workshop reserves your spot for that specific cohort. Spots are limited, and registration is only confirmed once payment has gone through.

Attendance

Workshops are built around live participation. If you miss a session, I’ll do my best to make a recording or summary available where possible, but I can’t guarantee a replacement experience for a missed live session.

Cancellations & Refunds

Because cohorts are small and spots are limited, registration fees are generally non-refundable once a cohort has begun. If you need to cancel before the cohort starts, reach out — I handle these situations individually and in good faith, but a refund is not guaranteed simply because it’s requested.

Recording & Confidentiality

Sessions may be recorded for participants’ own later reference. What’s shared by other participants during a workshop is personal and should stay in the room — please don’t share, screenshot, or repost anything another participant says without their permission.

4. 1:1 Mentoring & Collaboration Calls

Collaboration Calls and 1:1 Mentoring Calls are booked through the scheduling links on this site. A few things to know:

  • Booking a time reserves that slot. If you need to reschedule, please give as much notice as you can — last-minute cancellations may not be eligible for a rescheduled time.
  • These calls are mentorship conversations, not therapy, coaching certification, or professional consulting in any licensed sense. See Section 2 above.
  • Anything discussed on a call is treated with discretion, but these conversations are not covered by any legal or clinical privilege (such as therapist-client or attorney-client privilege).
  • I reserve the right to end a call early or decline future bookings if a conversation becomes abusive, unsafe, or clearly outside what a mentoring call is meant to be.

5. The Retreat (Femistery)

The retreat is currently waitlist-only. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a spot and is not a booking or a purchase — it simply lets me know you’re interested and lets you know first when details and enrollment open.

Assumption of Risk

The retreat takes place in a rural, outdoor, off-grid-adjacent setting in the Maine woods. Activities may include physical movement, uneven terrain, exposure to weather, and time near water. By attending, you acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to participate at your own discretion and responsibility. Please let me know of any physical limitations, medical conditions, or accessibility needs in advance so we can plan accordingly — but ultimately, participation is a personal choice made with full knowledge of the setting.

Deposits & Payments

Once enrollment and pricing are finalized, any deposit or payment required to hold a retreat spot will generally be non-refundable, given the limited number of spots and advance costs involved in planning. Full payment terms will be shared clearly at the time enrollment opens.

Photography & Shared Space

Retreat attendees agree to respect the privacy of other participants — what’s shared in the group stays in the group, and photos or recordings of other attendees should only be taken and shared with their consent. Chris or a designated photographer may take general group or landscape photos for future promotional use; if you’d prefer not to be included, just let us know.

Right to Remove a Participant

To protect the safety and experience of the group, I reserve the right to ask a participant to leave the retreat, without refund, if their behavior is abusive, unsafe, or seriously disruptive to others.

6. Payments

All payments on this site are processed securely through Stripe. I don’t see or store your full card information. If you believe you were charged in error, please reach out to me directly before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer — most issues can be sorted out faster that way.

7. Intellectual Property

The content on this site — including writing, workshop materials, worksheets, the book Worthy, and anything else I create — belongs to me. You’re welcome to use what you learn in your own life, but please don’t copy, resell, or repost my materials, recordings, or writing without permission.

8. No Guarantees

I don’t promise a specific outcome, transformation, or result from any workshop, call, or retreat. What you take from these experiences depends on you — your own effort, openness, and circumstances. I bring my full self and lived experience to this work; the journey after that is yours.

9. Code of Conduct

Whether it’s a workshop, a call, the retreat, or a comment on the newsletter or social pages, I expect participants to treat each other — and me — with basic respect. Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward myself or other participants isn’t tolerated, and may result in removal from a workshop, call, or retreat without a refund.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Chris Davis and Chris Davis Proud are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in a workshop, call, retreat, or use of this website. Your use of this site and participation in any offering is at your own discretion.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time as offerings evolve. Continuing to use the site or participate in any offering after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
